Hi there,
I'm David. I'm a new antix user having totally wiped my machine of windows xp and solely using antix now. Although I asked these questions before, some good folks advised me to ask these separately so that it is easier for people to search for and find these in future. I don't mind asking again if y'all don't mind giving your great answers afresh.
When I change desktops from rox to space fm, I lose the helpful system details on the top right hand corner. Is there any way of keeping that?
Thanks

POST details of startup files for Icewm and Fluxbox.
The antixcc (crossed wrenches in toolbar} have some edit buttons for Icewm and Fluxbox.
After you hit that. There is a tab in geany when it opens that says startup.
Find the conky entry and post that.
or
simple fix.
Just use Menu>Desktop>Conky on/off menu entry to turn conky back on.
Conky=" helpful system details on the top right hand corner"

I've noticed that sometimes the spacefm desktop simply covers the conky window. So you may need to turn conky on and off.
You can try editing the startup file for your chosen window manager and putting the conky startup line last.

Did you try the solution I already gave you?
That is called"Conky". Try turning it back on from the desktop menu --> Desktop -->"Toggle Conky on/off".
