It seems when the computer is about to load the login screen, it freaks out a bit. I've noticed it seems (im not too sure, so i use the word SEEMS) to load the vga a few times. The screen goes blank, comes back on, goes blank, comes back on, and then finally opens up. Takes about 5-8 seconds. Its starting to become more noticable. Not too sure what exactly is going on, but i would like to figure this out.
Also, please post any tweaks you guys have for faster boot times!

At the login screen or onto the desktop? Because if it's when IceWM is being loaded it sometimes makes these changes because it first reads the background set in the theme (or in preferences) and then the one set with nitrogen (and maybe even the one set with ROX, if it's the case).

you get the screen flashes as you boot up.
I am not sure what you need to do yet to install graphics driver for Intel GMA965/GL960. Maybe one of the other members with this chipset can advise you.
Just making you aware of what is going on.
After googling.
look through the smxi manual to see if your intel card is supported. smxi/sgfxi is included in Antix.

You don't have the proprietary driver installed yet for your graphics card. Probably whyGraphics: Card Intel Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller tty res: 80x24 Gfx Data: N/A for root user
