I have a Broadcom Corporation BCM4401 eth0 adapter. It isn't connecting. In control panel>manage network interfaces the hardware is detected. I tried the instructions here:
========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://mepislovers.org/forums/showthread.php?t=21576&highlight=broadcom+ethernet"
linktext was:"http://mepislovers.org/forums/showthrea ... m+ethernet"
====================================
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false
While processing the message above reads: Update modules command is deprecated and should not be used!
Is there a new method for 8.2?

I've never had much luck of the mepis network connector. Some of the other options might work for you. Try wicd (under connect wirelessly in control center; it will detect both wired and wireless connections) or CENI (again control center>configure network interface).
Good luck.

Just for info. If wicd or ceni doesn't connect for you. Try rutilt. It is in the menu. It has worked for me when all else fails.
