Hi, I'm new here. I have what looks like a common problem with many Linux distros.
The liveCD won't boot with any of the boot options in the extra options list. It ends in a black screen, then I can get back to # prompt with ctrl+alt+f1. (I've read this is related to the nvidia video card.) startx at the prompt returns command not found. I found similar problems with solutions in this forum, but they did not work for me. Any suggestions to get the liveCD up and running?
I really want to get AntiX working on my dell dimension 2400 desktop. SimplyMepis worked fine.

You could try the options xdrvr=vesa or xdrvr=nv (just type that when you're in the GRUB menu screen).

I'll add that cheat option to the menu for the next release.
Thanks secipolla.
