Dear friends,
I just installed Antix 14 on a notebook for my chess club. Unfortunately I needed an upgrade of glibc6 because one of my programs did not work with glibc6 2.13 (Vega Chess Pairing Software). I updated it by using test where there was 2.17. Now the Software works but the start menu switched to English although LANG=de_DE is set.
It is 14.0 with Xfce.
Anybody with an idea what to do in this situation?
Best regards, Suizido

I hope they understand correctly
and choose
de_DE.UTF-8...
out.
Code: Select all
# dpkg-reconfigure locales
de_DE.UTF-8...
out.

male, AntiX 13 was the last"official" release of antiX. Now the antiX 14 was an experimental version that we have been working on. And there was also our colaboration with the Mepis Community with MX-14. Would you please post the"inxi -F" results?

is pretty much universal so posting that to show what is installed and
males post pretty much covers it. But a
won't hurt this thread either IMO. The more info the better. Still waiting on feedback from the OP though.

Cleaned up your above jumbled post, so it could be read easier by other members and me. Please use code tags when posting readouts from terminal. The code button on the toolbar when you hit the full editor button
under the quick reply box. Just copy and paste each terminal readout in between the code brackets where the cursor is blinking.
I realize you did not know this. That is why I am bothering to explain it to you. No problemo for me editing anything. __{{emoticon}}__

wrong by the way. That is why it errored out. No biggy though as"de" is shown in locale. So not sure where things are screwed up myself.
Hopefully someone with a sharper grip on this problem will weigh in on this since I am out of ideas.
