Here are some known (minor) bugs in antiX-M7-rc1.
Thanks to testers who found them.

Keys shortcuts file wrongly point to aterm as console when it should be wterm. To fix, edit fluxbox/keys file and change aterm to wterm.

Opening a console via rox-filer fails as (again) it points to aterm rather than wterm. To fix, simply open rox-filer, right-click in it, choose Options>Menus>Terminal emulator program. Change aterm to wterm.
Also
Options>Drag and Drop>Download handler. Change aterm to wterm.

If you find others, please post.

Also when opening a file in nano, the nano hot-key menu options at the bottom are illegible. They work but they are illegible.

They should be ok if you don't use the default wterm set as terminal on the menu as it uses a white font and transparency.
Nano from the fluxbox menu is ok.

Thanks for pointing that out. Haven't tried nano from the menu yet. Trying to do as much as possible from the terminal to increase the intellectual overload!

My laptop is 1997 Toshiba Satellite 2545CDS with a AMD's K6-2 running at 333 MHz, 96 MBytes of RAM and a ISA sound (Yamaha OLP-3 chip) card.

During boot-up it stops with the above message.

Could you compile the AntiX kernel to allow PIIs, K6 CPUs and old ISA cards?

This would be great for really old PCs and laptops!

I am running it successfully (using it right now w/ IceWeasel) on a Toshiba 4051CDS -- Intel Pentium II @ 266 mhz. I have upgraded RAM to 160 mb but that has nothing to do with the CPU identification, of course.

Just FYI, Jack, antiX 7 already recognizes this audio chip. It is what is on my system. You don't have to run alsaconf as is the case on most distros.

I need to solve the CPU issue first in order to use the system.
My CPU is AMD's K6-2 and is not supported by this kernel.

I can boot and run v6.5 (spartacus) but not M7-rc1.

After that I will look after the ISA bus - sound card issue.

I will at some point in the future. At the moment antiX-M7 uses the i686 kernel of Mepis7. I need to check how to do it successfully.
Any help, hints, advice would be appreciated. So for now only Spartacus will boot with k6.
