Attempting to install from CD to an AMD64 MSI box I get
Error: /init: line 127 can't create /proc/sys/kernel/hotplug: nonexistent directory
Welcome to X86_64 aqntiX 15-beta3-v-(Killah P)!
Current boot codes: vga=788 quiet splash=v3 disable_srv=LXD
Scan usb devices . Look for boot file(s) antix/linuxfs
Filtered devices /dev/sr0
Mounted boot device.Mounted device /dev/sr0 at /live/boot-dev
boot device filesystem: iso9660

then it stops reading from sr0 and hangs

Is the error line 1 the cause or have I got media or drive trouble? Both are likely as the box is an unknown quantity my son recently gave me as scrap.

Best wishes

Try another cd of like Puppy or Slitaz and see if cdrom is not the fault.
I use a lens cleaner disc like below when I pick up gear like this IBM Z60M I am posting from that was in the corner at city hall collecting dust.

I am assuming a md5sum was done on the AntiX iso before burning the cd on slow speed on a known good computer.
You can also try the cd on another computer to see if it boots OK on it also.

You are trying antiX 15-beta3-v-(Killah P)! according to your post. Use the final release.

@roland...Use the final version (not a beta) of antiX15-amd64. Check the md5 of the downloaded version before you burn it to cd. If you can, try to use the slowest speed to burn.
