Hi guys,
This is my first go at antiX - using a very old but lovable Dell Inspiron 8000 (it still has a floppy drive!) and I just wanted to report that everything is working really well.
The Dell has an awkward 1400x1050 res (it's hard on the eyes!) which has troubled many a distro in the past but antiX got it spot-on first time with no interference from me.
Because it's such a streamlined distro the creaky old 900Mhz processor is bombing along nicely.
And best of all, I've got wireless working by downloading the zd-whatever-the-number-is firmware from the repo for the Sitecom USB dongle I had lying at the back of my draw - result!
antiX originally detected and setup the wired ethernet I had connected via a Linksys PCMCIA adaptor too, again without any involvement from me, which I thought was most impressive.
Now I need to spend a few days getting my head 'round Fluxbox (I'm used to GNOME, KDE and Xfce) and Rox-filer (not a big fan of Rox-filer, I have to say).
So, just wanted to say thanks very much to those who worked on antiX M7.2 - you've done an excellent job and have won another fan for your speedy little distro! __{{emoticon}}__

You can add any file manager you want and remove rox.
Just apt-get the one you like and it will not break anything __{{emoticon}}__
And another thing if you end up not liking fluxbox (hope not) --don't give up.
Just try a new WM.
