I was using spacefm as a root user, and in the process my network directory's where unmounted.
Afterwards I was not able to remount them, and the network was not showing.
I tried a reboot, then"smbtree", and the network was still not showing up.

I found that the only way to fix the issue was, to shut down completely, then power it backup.
I just need to remember to unmount the pyneighborhood directory's, before a root spacefm session.

Has anyone else had a similar issue with this?

I have foud I still have the issue with spacefm, regardless if I unmounted the directory's in pyneighborhood.
Could spacefm as root be interfering with samba?

I did change the permissions to the directory that I use all the time. So I will be using spacefm less often as root.

Directory That I use a lot that. I changed permissions to is. /user/share/midi
I need access to this directory to add sound fonts for midi playback. .

I've been experimenting with using spacefm to browse and mount network shares using a plugin. works pretty good so far. pyneighborhood and I have never gotten along. I just posted a video (5 minutes or so) if you want to take a look.

Thank you,
The video was very informative. I already had udevil installed, but it was missing the configuration for mounting samba. Probably the reason that when, I used spacefm as root. The samba configuration was getting dropped.
I did add the GUI suggested in your video, It seems to be a clean, and easy way to mount samba shares.

You may want to edit the spacefm mount and unmount commands as well. You can usually just delete the entries that are there and let it auto-decide. It will default to udevil. I had an issue with unmounting windows shares, but I forgot to mention it in the video because I had already changed the mount and unmount commands in a previous video.
