My Son (Doughal) wants to try Linux on an Apple Powerbook G3. He is particularly interested in Flash. I have told him antiX is the best - any ideas?

He wants a Linux1 distro to work on the above machine that runs Adobe Flash Player.

PS: He says that if there was a version that could run Adobe Flash Player every legacy Mac owner would install it in a heartbeat>

PPS: If mk_doogs joins us - it's him.

There are powerpc builds of debian.

but 400 mhz is pretty slow, even for a PPC. Your son may not be happy with the flash performance, if it works at all.

Looks good - thanks to you both. I've passed it on

dmk

PS - Slow!! - You're telling me! I ran"find" on it & it took forever. But I was amazed at how much Linux there was under to hood - man pages, the lot. Doogs is a Mac boy however, I don't think he strays into the terminal much.
