I don't have internet at home. Is there a way to install using apt-cdrom add instead of
the internet repos? I have the full Lenny CD set + kde, xfce and updates.

You should do just like with Lenny. antiX-8 was launched by the same time Lenny was and is perfectly compatible with it. The 8.2 test versions were launched later and have apps from Debian testing so I don't know if that brings any issues.

Thanks secipolla!
I will try tommorw night. The install script failed before due to lack of internet. I'll add the CDs and disable the the on line repos and then run the install.

It worked!
I've got synaptic loaded with the CD set, but I have yet to try the Meta Installer.

I don't think the meta-installer will work, but give it a try and let us know.

It worked! Now floks W/O internet can have that Meta-Installer goodness by unmarking the repasitories
in Synaptic, then adding the CD set. I will post a note in tips & tricks.
