hello,
Im a bit late .. but how to install antix on a FAT32 USB
a) extract the ISO files?
b) copy the files onto the usb? in which structure?
c) adapt the syslinux.cfg for booting antIX: what are the boot codes for it?
(I have already slitaz, knoppix, TinyCoreLinux, PartedMagic, Puppy, Warry, .. on a CF Card for USB-Adapter or IDE-Adapter and would like to add antIX.. for testing it on my colleague netbook).

Is your question about multibooting AntiX 11 (full, base,or core ) with
Because multiboot usb is beyond my skill set. You might have to wait till Anti gets back next week or hopefully one of our other members can show you the way.(I have already slitaz, knoppix, TinyCoreLinux, PartedMagic, Puppy, Warry, .. on a CF Card for USB-Adapter or IDE-Adapter and would like to add antIX.. for testing it on my colleague netbook).

hello everybody, just a quick post here...
if you (or anyone else) would like to create a multiboot usb you can use this tool:
========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multiboot-usb-creator/"
linktext was:"http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multi ... b-creator/"
====================================
it's really easy and it works, i've already used it many times and like it a lot.
I hope this helps people create a multiboot usb...
edit: i forgot about this being a windows app (should run with wine i think...) so here's a linux app too (no multiboot however)
========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/"

and another multiboot usb creator that can make multiboot cd/dvd's too (or so it says)

url was:"http://www.pendrivelinux.com/sardu-multiboot-usb-creator-windows/"
linktext was:"http://www.pendrivelinux.com/sardu-mult ... r-windows/"
====================================
and i even found a multiboot usb creator for linux, however it seems to be french and i've never used or even heard from this. but i'm just posting it here to let you all know.

Using AntiX 8.5 live cd. I have AntiX base M11 ISO on USB pen trying to make a live USB partition on another pen drive, but I keep getting"Device sda appears to be mounted. Cannot proceed" error.
Trying to unmout the pen drive also gives an error.
I'm using antix2usb that comes with M8.5 live cd.
I have disabled hal doing: /etc/init.d/hal stop.
But I still cannot umount the pen drive that I'm trying to put the ISO image on.
This is on an older Toshiba Tecra laptop it does not have a hard drive, so Im trying this from the M8.5 live cd.
Can anyone help?
EDIT:
Looks like Gparted can umount the device, but now I'm getting an error when trying access the ISO image:
File 'antiX-M11-base-686.iso' looks like:
ERROR: cannot open `/media/HP' (No such file or directory)
Image is on an HP pen drive and appears to be fine I can access other files from the pen drive so
I don't understand why I'm getting this error.
Pleas advise.
2ndEDIT:
Ok I simply tried a different pen drive and it worked .
