The way they pack it, you can actually simply extract the firefox folder into any directory and then run it from that folder. It doesn't really need"installed".

right click on tar.bz2 in pacmanfm or left click in roxfm.

extract to /home (that is the way I run it on this unit)

My launchers for icewm (menu and toolbar) and fluxbox (menu only)
Icewm:

Code: Select all

prog"Firefox4" /home/harry/firefox/chrome/icons/default/default32.png /home/harry/firefox/firefox
Fluxbox:

Code: Select all

[exec] (Firefox4) {/home/harry/firefox/firefox}
Under Menu>Help>AntiX Faq you'll find how to edit Icewm menus and Fluxbox menus.

Another way is to enable the MEPIS 11 repos temporarily and install it via synaptic.
