My hat's off to you, anticapitalista! I was looking for a fast, functional little distro to put on the spare 5 gig partion of my ancient PC, and antiX fit the bill nicely. I would especially like to commend you on your choice of default apps; goggles in particular. Goggles is probably the best lightweight music player out there, but for some reason pretty much nobody includes it in their iso (the hideous icon maybe?).

As for window managers, icewm is not my cup of tea, but fluxbox is working out quite well.

Thanks for all your hard work--

Thanks for the comments and welcome to antiX.

Goggles is an excellent music manager that fits in with the antiX philosophy of 'mean and lean'.

Thanks for the kind words and welcome to antiX!

I agree with your comments on Goggles. I've had some conversations about goggles and other lightweight apps at other sites. A common response is that some of these apps use a toolkit different from gtk, which means they take up additional room on the iso and undermine a consistent look.

That makes sense. I guess it wouldn't fit in with the look of gnome as well as rhythmbox does, but it looks fine in fluxbox.
