I've been fiddling with an all grey theme , but I can't figure out why there is a brown backround behind the speaker volume icon next to the clock.
I've double checked all the .xpm graphics and the default.theme , but for the life of me can't find where the brown came from.
The stinker is , I kinda like the theme , but this is driving me crazy.
It could be something peculiar to my computer , if anyone wants to try it and give me feedback , I'll setup the theme for download.

I am no swinging ahem, when it comes to modifying themes but sometimes I

on my desktop. But you are way more skilled than I at building from scratch.
That was done back when we had no icons in the right click menu.
I can't say how much time I will be able to spend on your theme. Christmas. MX testing. AntiX testing. Moderator duties.
Another member wants a tutorial on how I set up the above Fluxbox screenshot.
This getting popular can make a man just busy as hell. Your theme looks real good though to me so far.
Wrap it up and throw it out there. !st thing I might try is changing the menu button to something more like I prefer.if anyone wants to try it and give me feedback , I'll setup the theme for download.

wait for it to finish and bring you back to root prompt.
Then close root terminal and just use rox terminal as user
To see if anything pops out at you.
Maybe poke around a bit with (in root terminal for the first command, User rox terminal is ok for the second command)but for the life of me can't find where the brown came from.
Code: Select all
updatedb
Then close root terminal and just use rox terminal as user
Code: Select all
locate icewm

Try logging out and back in, maybe it is holding on to something from your previous brown theme?

Aha , I figured it out .........
I guess if you open up and close Gimp more than 100 times or so , there must be a chunk of memory that remembers what you did.
I shutdown and let the ram empty , then brought her up again and whala! all good.
I didn't figure I could overwhelm 8 GB of ram , but it must be so.
Here's the downloadable theme.
If you rather I don't use the antiX name , I will just go with IceWM for the theme button.
I thought it added a little personal touch to a great distro.
No problem if it's not cool though.
Thanks
Colin

I really like the Champion spark plugs button , being an old gearhead myself.
I was thinking of a Nascar type theme , maybe in the future.
If I can figure out how to incorporate a checkered flag and a few other tidbits , without being distracting , maybe soon.
I really like the wallpapers , they produce a"mood" to the theme.
One of my passtimes is working on Harleys , just can't stay away from wrenching.
I raised my Sportster '48 from stock , up 2" and super comfy , for my physical/age problems.
Because of my degenerative disk disease , I traded my '09 Ultra Classic for the Sportser for easier handling at a stop.
It's really the reason I've been around the forum lately.
Looks good.

Nice scooter. I like the fat 16 inch front tire look. Air on the rear. Big FLH headlight. Bobbed rear fender (I know it is factory but I like the style anyways). Looks well taken care of.

Well Alanarchy , I've never thought about it being on the left side.
Maybe it's so we can park more bikes in an orderly fashion in front of a restaurant?
Although it does seem dumb to exit on the street side .....
The engine is VERY fun to ride with , it goes quickly and gets 48 MPG.
I had a 2004 Buell XB12S which was double the horsepower and a hundred pounds lighter.
I'd still probably have it if a 18 year old girl on her cell phone didn't try to kill me from behind at a stoplight.
The math was , Me stopped , her going 40 mph , that left a mark or two.
Who doesn't like americans ?
I thought we were universally loved by all (except muslims)...
