You should see an icon in the panel for the control center--click--. Under one of the tabs there should be a packages button. This opens Synaptic. Once open click on reload then search away for what you want.

Besides the manage packages option in the control center that eriefisher suggested, you can also find the package manager from the menu under Applications - System Tools.

I had thought recent versions of Antix defaulted to icewm (ice windows manager), but I am not %100 certain.

In the package manager, if you search for ice, you will find some extra icewm themes.

I am working an a chat room for antix people to hang out in.

and join ##antix as the room/channel name.

You can also use the xchat program included with antix.

Maybe I will see you there.

At the log in window, pressing F1 will cycle through options such as icewm, fluxbox, dwm, fluxbox and others. not sure that all are active though, but certainly icewm is.

To add applications you can also use a terminal and apt-get.

Welcome to Antix. Enjoy!

An option that I like very much is wbar and wbarconfig, this is similar to the mac applications bar. google search wbar and wbarconfig and download wbar_1.3.3_i386.deb and wbarconf_0.7.2-1_i386.deb and install them using dpkg -i in the terminal.
EX: dpkg -i wbar_1.3.3_i386.deb
ps. make sure you are in the downloaded folder and are root.

If you got a default Fluxbox environment then you installed the base version. It comes without Synaptic so you must 'apt-get install synaptic' if you want it. It has no Control center as well.
