Here is how this biker who used to be computer clueless. Let alone Linux or AntiX clueless.

This is a text file I keep in /home/username and name it search.

Copy and paste this into google when you wish to search. Put in your problem 1st. Then paste in googles search box

site:antix.freeforums.org

More than 99% of the time. We have already posted a solution to your problems.

Another good one liner is

site:forums.debian.net

and one more for your text file should be Edit: Server change since I made this sticky.

site:forum.mxlinux.org

This method I use makes me look smarter than I really am. I have fooled the team here for ages
using this method of troubleshooting searching. <removed link 7/Nov/2016 because site died>

When you 1st get here. We know you are confused and like lost in the woods a bit. To help us help you.
When ever you 1st join the forums. Give us these readouts from terminal. Just copy and paste between the code tags
(the code button is on the advanced reply tool bar)

There is a forum bug for /etc Edit: Fixed with a Server change recently.

Anything in a terminal readout will give a Forbidden Message on the next page when you try and submit your post.

The way I just bypassed that bug is to put the / in between italics. The i in between the B and underlined u
in the advanced reply toolbar. These readouts will help us to help you. My fav is

Now this is where / etc forum bug comes in. When you post from the readout
to show us your repositories you are using in MX-14 or AntiX. Because that will help us also.
Any instance of / etc . You have 2 choices. Delete the / in front of etc. Or. Put a space between / and etc
using your spacebar. Hopefully this will cut down on the questions about forbidden also.

This is a free forum layout so we have to deal with the bugs. We are not rich folks.

But i see that there is no real good way to add that option to the forum screen, so I put them all into my signature, so it will be on my screen anytime i post, LOL, and all I'll need to do is change the x to whatever I want to search for...

One trick you can use with that is to type the error message from your logs, or wherever, into Googlinux and do a search on that. If you get loads of results from that, it's a software bug; if not, it's probably your machine. Does that explain clearly? It's 4.30 am here __{{emoticon}}__

Example , how to change language and put plus one or two language in icewm (like in xfce) for writing in browser and libreoffice (or like this soft) in antix ?
