I just installed Xfce in antix 8.5 rc3. It runs fine except there's a blue bar at the top of the screen that I would like to remove.
How do I remove it?

If that's a panel then you may have to tweak Xfce's start-up file to make it not auto-start.
I Googled some help:
========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://www.xfce.org/documentation/4.2/manuals/xfce4-panel"
linktext was:"http://www.xfce.org/documentation/4.2/m ... fce4-panel"

If it's the panel, right click >> remove. Or in the setting you can change the position/appearance.

there is no right click options, just a blue bar the same width as the taskbar on the bottom.eriefisher wrote:If it's the panel, right click >> remove. Or in the setting you can change the position/appearance.

you should be able to access all the panel options from either panel. you should see a drop down box for panel 1, 2, etc...

it's not a panel, that's the problem. there are no options when you right click on it. just a blue bar across the top of the screen. this is only in xfce, not fluxbox or icewm.dolphin_oracle wrote:you should be able to access all the panel options from either panel. you should see a drop down box for panel 1, 2, etc...

just solved the problem... it was the way the desktop image was set to my monitor. it was set to scaled and it created a blue bar top and bottom, which I saw when I made the taskbar narrower. so I set desktop image to zoom and it cleared the blue bars away. __{{emoticon}}__

At first I thought of asking you to put a screen shot. With the antiX screen-shooter you can even ask it to generate a miniature of the picture, more appropriate for the forum.
