hello everybody,
as requested by anticapitalista here's my how-to connect to wireless with ceni.
i'm posting it so you can easily read it here and i'm uploading it as a .txt file too:
this is a how-to for connecting to a wireless network using ceni:
-first open ceni, there are three ways to do this:
-open the control centre, go to the network tab and click on ceni.
-ope up your menu, go to applications, internet and then click on ceni.
-open your terminal, type su, enter your root password, press enter, type ceni, press enter.
-once ceni is open, select your wireless device either by
-clicking on it.
-or by selecting it with your keyboard arrows and then clicking enter.
-then click on scan, it will search for available networks.
-then select your network, if it hasn't found it, click scan again.
-then select your encryption and enter it.
-click accept.
-in the next step, it will be most likely you will just have to click accept again, so do this.
-it will now configure your network connection.
-once it's done, just press enter.
-then press enter again to exit.
and that's it! you should now have a working wireless connection!
have fun browsing the net!

there you have it, i hope it helped...

Excellent set of instructions. Nice job!

I would add a third way of opening CENI (and my preferred way)

1) open a terminal
2) type su
3) enter root password
4) type ceni
5) follow the rest of the instructions

good point,i also like working from the terminal (i do it for about 65% of the time) but people who are new to linux of prefer the gui over the terminal (for comfort reasons for example) will not like working with the terminal i thought, so i let that out. that idea may be wrong cuz learning about the terminal can be fun so i'm uploading a file with that in it and i'm adjusting my post.
thanks for mentioning it.
