Hello,I got antix to run fine and well but one thing I can't get over is the network connection.
I have a static Ip,netmask,gateway,dns1 and dns2.

In antix 11 icewn the options are static ip,netmask, gateway, network and broadcast.
Where do I put the dns?
I don't know what network and broadcast do because I never saw that on other distros.

You should be able to set it up using ceni or wicd.

have you ever tried using dhcp?
Just get everything like it is on your screenshot and click accept, dhcp should fill in everything.

Where it says Method, click with the mouse on static. Then use arrows keys to manouvre (left arrow)

I do not know what Dhcp does since my connection is fixed and I always had to configure it manually in windows or any other linux distro.

I think you are missing the point,I know what to put on Ip address, netmask and gateway but I don't know anything about network and broadcast settings since I never used those before.
Do I leave network and broadcast empty or what?

I know what my netmask, what I do not understand do I leave network and broadcast option empty since I do not know what to write there because I do not have any numbers from my ISP.
My ISP only gave me an IP address,a netmask ,gateway and 2 dns ,I have no idea what numbers to put on network or broadcast.
In the picture you will see that the DNS option is not there.

network=gateway but instead of 1 at end use 0.
broadcast has 255 at the end.

Do make sure you are in static mode.

I am not sure what for information they have given you specifically and I am sure you would not want to broadcast the information, but allow me to set an example through the standard 192.168.0.1 given by most routers. Without going into to much detail,
the gateway=192.168.0.1 (this is the routers ip address)
ip address=192.168.0.2 (this is the computers ip address)
netmask=255.255.255.0 (this would allow 255 units, 2 of which would be your network and broadcast, so 253 are usable for hosts/computers the first is the network and the last your broadcast)
with the above netmask, the broadcast = 192.168.0.255
with the above netmask, the network = 192.168.0.0

Ceni should automatically input values that are missing if you supply enough information, which your isp has given you.
now say I have only the values that you have so ip address, gateway, and netmask. I / ceni can still calculate the network and broadcast.
For example I will change the netmask to 255.255.255.240 and leave the gateway and ip address the same. This netmask will allow for 16 units, 14 as usable hosts, the first as the network, and the last as the broadcast
network is still = 192.168.0.0
but the broadcast will = 192.168.0.15 (the last of the available units)

Hope this is not to confusing __{{emoticon}}__ For a good online calculator refer to
