I just started out with antiX and I have no idea how to install or remove packages. I tried running Synaptic from the command line and no luck-I also investigated the metapackage installer, enabled non-free and contrib, hit install and apparently a bunch of stuff was downloaded and installed but it wasn't listed anywhere in the metapackage installer window.
Is there a synaptic package manager in antiX? Says in the FAQ there's one, but I don't think its there.

Hello:
Synaptic works in Antix pretty much the way it works in othe systems. In order to find it:
Using fluxbox: Settings>Control Center>System>Manage Packages (enter your root password when prompted).
Using ice-wm: either click on the tools icon to bring up control center or
left click to bring up menu>Desktop>Control Center === the rest is the same.
You can also using command line, and use apt-get if you wish.
I hope this helps.
