Can't figure out how to place the text editor onto the taskbar. Any help and/or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

How about changing the title to your thread to what I show in my reply. ^^^^^up there^^^^^

look in hidden folder .icewm for toolbar text file. Open it up.
Put that line where you wish to see it in the toolbar. Next to terminal or browser or what ever.
Save it.
Restart Icewm with Menu>logout>restart icewm.

In the future please be a little more specific with your title. Something like"Adding text editor to Taskbar" lets people know more about your problem and can help more than anything else.
