topic title: How do I put launchers onto the desktop?

I would like to have launchers on my desktop for the text editor and the iceape navigator. Is there an uncomplicated way to do that? Thanks!

F1 at slim login. Pick Icewm-Rox or Fluxbox-Rox option to login. JW< with Rox is another option.

You have a F1 key on your keyboard. Press it when login Window shows for user name and password. Press the F1 key before typing in user name and password. Pick one of the Window Managers I suggested and you will have icons on the Desktop when you log in.
