You need to boot a computer that contains a CD burning app and use that.

In antiX-15 there are two
  • Xfburn
  • cdw (terminal app)
In antiX-13.2 there are two
  • Simpleburn
  • cdw (terminal app)
Alternatively, burn with whatever app is included in the system you used to download the ISO.

Aditional note: it needs to be burnt as a cd image, not just the file onto the cd as a data cd.
When you burn the cd and in the end you see the directories 'antiX' and 'boot' then you burned it correctly.
If you only see antiX*.iso then you have burned it incorrectly.

if you are using cdw (open a terminal and type cdw) then its easy. Just pick"write image to disk".

Thanks a lot. cdw got the job done. At the start of the live session, this message appeared:

Code: Select all

No pinboard was in use... the 'Default' pinboard has been selected. Use 'rox -p=Default' to turn it on in future.

Since you are probably using a very old computer, it might be best to choose an option at the boot menu (Press F6) that does not use the rox-desktop. The lightest is jwm.

I have had it . I just ignore it. It happens on my old gear also.

Choosing jwm fixed it. Thanks.
