Hi All new to this board, I wondered if someone would be so kind as to explain please which OS version I can use for my nephews Aspire One ZG5, as the Linpus OS on there has stopped functioning (doesnt scan for wifi anymore) and I cant find out how to admin the device on that op system.
I was going to try and load down an old version of XP but decided that something else may be better. I saw someone recommend Antix for those older netbooks. It only has 8GB drive so I am pretty limited to which OS I can use for it.
I haven't really had any experience of any OS apart from windows. So I am a real newbie to this. SO be gentle please.

the 32 bit full version of antix 13.2 is probably the one you want. It should install in less than 5 gb. roky knows a lot more about those things than I do.

I am on one of those right now.
I have had debian/lxde and windows xp on it at the same time, so those 8gigs are not that limiting.
Regular antix full, or a base version, when it gets released would be my suggestion.
What will it be used for? just browsing, or???
If you really really want linpus lite on it, I have the cd's somewhere.
It was slightly outdated when it was released, being based on fedora8...

Is yours the 512MB ram 8gig SSD model of Zg5?
Mine is the and is currently running
which is the 1gig ram and 160gig model of AAO1 Zg5.
So it matters a bit on what to suggest as far as hardware specs go on a AAO1 as not all AAO1 are equal.
Either way. AntiX 13.2 full iso will run on either model for sure.

Howdy and Welcome. As fatmac says, ask all the questions you want. Just keep one question per thread.
AntiX 13.2 full 32bit should work for you with no problems.
