i love antiX. here are my impressions, and how i got here:
been a linux-convert for about a year(ubuntu 8.04 at first). after a while, i started messing around with other window managers, and then, other distros. when my wife complained about this craziness, and wanted xp back, i re-stockified ubuntu and bought an old p1 for $5 at a thrift store to get my 'ya yas' out. this led me to sniff out all the lo-spec distros (dsl, puppy, etc). the one that surprized me the most was Debian - couldn't get ubuntu to work on the p1, but Debian made it run faster/smoother that it deserved to! unfortunately, antiX won't work on a p1.
so now, my main box (dell 1.1g celeron, 512 mg ram) has a triple boot: LinuxMint 6 (fluxbox), antix M8, and xp for the girl (sometimes it's just easier to give in). i love linux mint, but there's a quality to antiX i can only describe as"fun". And man, icewm never looked so good! every day i get closer to dumping mint entirely, and using antiX as my main distro - i suppose when i feel i can do everything in antiX that i'm doing in mint, mint becomes redundant.
anyway, thank you Anti et al, for all your work. antiX is super-cool, and i love it.

Hello Abstract and Welcome to Antix!
I also played around with different distros, and was reasonably happy with Mint, but it was running slow in an old laptop. Now, I have Antix running in 3 boxes (including the kids' computers).
Enjoy Antix!
