Hi All,
Thought I'd say hello.
I went searching for AntiX as I hadn't used it in a long time and you can, perhaps, imagine my surprise when I booted my live USB and saw MX14. Gotta say I like it __{{emoticon}}__ and I'm running as a full install on a 64 Gig USB drive. Works really well!
Is the older and I think a little smaller footprint of AntiX with IceWM still supported?

yes, antiX-15 is in beta now, and a new MX edition (done jointly with the Mepiscommunity) will come out later in the year after antiX-15 is released.johnj wrote:Hi All,

thank you dolphin_oracle,
That is good news, too. I do like MX14 very well too. You've got two great distributions on the go. I don't know if you are/were familiar with #! (Crunchbang), but I used that for years and I think I may have found a replacement. Are you following the developement of Devuan?

Welcome aboard, I too came from #! a while ago, whilst #! was good AntiX is much better for me. (MX is a mid weight with a DE rather than a WM.)
Keep an eye out for a 'base' version, said to be in the pipeline with 15.

Hello ainticapitalista and fatmac,
Those are things that are good to hear. I'm surprised that a mid weight DE is so responsive on this old laptop, which is why I was looking for a WM. I'll install MX-14 directly to my HDD and see how that works.
anticapitalista, did you mention AntiX on the Devuan mailing list? I'm trying to remember what put it in my mind.
