I decided to post to your forum to thank you guys for a fantastic O.S., I've been a linux user only a couple of years
Most of those years 'distro hopping' But I always come back to AntiX! So yea Thanks, I am a mature student so
donating may take awhile, but I guess I have made the first step. I couldn't keep enjoying the speed and flexability of AntiX
with out at least thanking you for a great job...
Oh and Anticapitalista also sits well with me, the concept of capitalism relying on endless growth is destroying the world around us.
I am not much of a forum posting guy, so I apologies for any mistakes in advance..
Cheers! I really appreciate all your efforts, thank you,

Wow, thank you for such a warm welcome..!
I am carrying a little shame, 1 for late reply back, but also I come to this
forum in #!, but I guess that's what really rocks about the whole GNU/Linux world CHOICE,
Although still a child of DebIan, so not too far from the family tree.
...I learn so much from different experiences of different setups, if there is one problem with choice,
Its knowing where to 'sink your teeth', I dabble mostly in easy ways of making my desktop look nice, gulp
...Oh and of course always learning more BASH abilities
Iam 43 male and live in Australia, hence the only one here at the moment 18:03 and 23c
..Cheers for beginners links, I each different take on teaching the basics is quite valuable
OOo, getting a bit long this post, be back soon,(and in AntiX) thanks again, HappyAntiXUser

Well, mate, here's a spot for you to go to to register as a Linux user.
========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://linuxcounter.net/main.html"
linktext was:"http://linuxcounter.net/main.html"

Time is an illusion. We have too much of it when we have nothing to do, and never enough when we get busy.

Thank you, jdmeaux1952
I did go and register, was good to declare as not only a GNU/Linux user but also an older spec computer user too.
Optiplex745, Dual core IntelCore2 CPU 6400@ 2.13GHz, 4gb ram, 500gb hdd.. I connect via USB 3g modem
It started life at a local University where it was made redundant and came into my hands.
It's how I started with Linux too as I knew it was '64bit ready' but only had 32bit xp, my desire to see it
run at it's full potential and my lack of $, lead me to discover linux.
Hopefully I'll never take it for granted.

I think you will find quite a lot of older spec computer users on here, some people just like the challenge of making old machines work again. __{{emoticon}}__
My regular internet machine is a Netbook with an Intel Atom 1.6GHz with 1Gb of ram running AntiX 13 base from a 2Gb SDcard, (removed the hard disk). __{{emoticon}}__

fatmac, that is soo cool, ha..
No need to fill up landfill, although I get a lot less 2nd hand computers
since people are spooked about data recovery...
Hey that antix jwm (32bit) version at sourceforge is pretty cool, 35mb ram on mine
spawned a whole week of learning how to config jwm from scratch using debian netinstall stable
as a base...time does pass very quickly in front of a keyboard&screen, phew
....more playtime!

LinuxBBQ that is either the Arch one or the much more fun Debian based one
from those crazy dudes...always lookinng to offend sensibilities..
Ah, you say 'flavour', so the Debian based one.
I am using today the 32bit AntiX 13.2 full, version from the Linux Format magazine.
All the best everyone, for twenty fourteen __{{emoticon}}__
