Welcome to the forum and to Linux. I've got the same configuration on my laptop: PIII and 512 RAM. For me that's the optimum setup for antiX. I've run the full Mepis install on this same box, but shifting over to antiX gave me all the applications I want, plus speed with no grinding away while programs load. This just flies. I think you're going to enjoy your antiX/Linux experience. Feel free to ask questions here. It's a friendly group.
