I'm a simple user... I use ubuntu on the PC I'm writing now, and I have an old Toshiba Satellite with an AMD K6 II, which is currently running the old Mepis lite (but is quite slow with it).

Is it foreseen a release of Antix which will be working on AMD K6 II?

I would be reeeeaaally happy to use it in my old Toshiba....

Thank you for your answer.

Keep on like this, Anticapitalista.

Anti has been working on a kernel that will boot on that hardware. Hopefully it will be ready for M8 final.

I have an old IBM Aptiva desktop - K6 II 300 MHz (10 years old ) running a recent Debian light installation (xfce).
(it supports a Ethernet card recovered in a dustbin, plugged in the ISA port, since all PCI slots where busy ! )

It would be great to have AntiX working on it !

Hi Elianto, and welcome to antiX.

I want to use a kernel for PI and K5/K6, but haven't managed to get it done yet.
Someone was going to do it, but he got really busy and at the moment, a 586 kernel is unlikely to be in antiX-M8-final.
As soon as I can get help to roll a 586 kernel working on the livecd, I'll provide an antiX.iso

me time without visiting the forum.

So, Antix, do you think you're going to have Antix working on a AMD K6 II? I really hope you will.

Anyway: keep going like this!
