Hello from western NY where the winters give you plenty of"cave time". Running AntiX on a Dell Dimension 4100 PIII 450Mhz with 384 MB of RAM, it runs ok, but not as fast as I would like. Iceweasel does not do the best job of rendering either, fonts are iffy and scrolling is not great. I like the distro, I just need some help tweaking it! Here is to some with Linux!!

I guess you are using antiX-M7. You can disable some services by running sysvconfig. You may wish to install the ms fonts to improve the fonts, and if you could try opera for a browser.
