Hi, Just installed Antix on my eeepc 4G -- the old ones __{{emoticon}}__
Works well. I fixed the wifi detection with the tip from the forum and now I have to fix the keymapping. For some reason even though I specified"fi" at installation, it seems to have reverted me back to US. It also seems to complain at start up about my graphics (Error: Undefined video mode number 317). It can\t seem to detect my 800x480 resolution.

I\ll look through the forums though and see if I can find solutions to those problems.

Kudos.

Just noticed you were interested to know...

Hmmm.... Everything is working now and it was very easy and quick to fix. I'm disappointed Antix! __{{emoticon}}__ I have to go tinker with something now and try and break it __{{emoticon}}__

I created a Live USB with UNetBootin, ran the default option at boot, then ran the install icon on the desktop.
Sleep, WiFi, and brightness, PgUp/Dn, Home and End function keys are working. I don't currently have an external monitor to check the external monitor key. There is also a function key with [AP] on it but I have no idea what that is for. It did nothing when I pressed it anyhow __{{emoticon}}__
I also have some important <tag> keys mapped to the function key of my keyboard's local and they work just fine too.
I can confirm the volume/mute keys don't seem to work at all.

Howdy and Welcome. I own a couple of EEEpcs. A 701SD and a 900/screeny below. My posts on what I have done on my EEEPCs are all over this forum. Have fun.
