Hello Antix users!
This is my second attempt to get my steam driver Pentium III to work on Linux.
This time around I can't even get a distro to load from Live CD.
In Antix case the last line which appeared was"Starting Hardware abstraction layer hald" - at which point the computer hangs.
I know bios setting can be crucial but have no idea where to start.
I am running a PIII with 320Mb RAM and a spare 4Gb i would like to install to.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

Have you tried any of the other boot options in the menu such as vesa option ( in Extras)?
Give the fast boot option a try as well.
Which version of antiX are you testing?

My dated Pent III laptop used to hang on live booting every time. Adding"nodma" (without quotes) to the boot line solved the problem right off.
