Hi
I'm completely new to linux, but not computers. Spent 2 days swimiing in treacle and shedding hair trying to get information to load linux onto an old eeepc 4g 701 surf which I was using with a cut down XP for navigation but as this has been replaced by a tablet I thought I would try breathing life into the old machine.
Finally did mananged to load ANTIX and it does seen stable. Managed to connect the WIFI from previous post her. __{{emoticon}}__
But no luck with bluetooth. Has looked at postings but can find nothing. Can I use the same dongles as with windows? the machine does not seem to see the dongle at all? __{{emoticon}}__
Must admit initial impressions are good.
Might get hooked. PDAs next maybe?

Please issue the following command in Terminal (I'm assuming the adapter / dongle is attached)
and root
rfkill is not installed then
Code: Select all
inxi -F
Code: Select all
rfkill list
Code: Select all
apt-get update
apt-get install rfkill
