If not, installing"libmp3splt-dev" package might be necessary (will bring 20Mb dependent packages).
Hi skidoo,

thanks but both packages are installed.

@rokytnji

This is very weird, when I try to post the inxi-r output I get this message:

I can't believe that, and part of the reason for my disbelief is this:
Aleph wrote:With mp3splt the message is:

no plugin matches the file

With Clementile:

lgstreamer is missing a plug-in
"Clementile" (typo)
"lgstreamer" (typo?)

Here's is an exact instruction.
Copy/paste it, don't leave opportunity for typos:
sudo apt-get install libmad0-dev && apt-get install libmp3splt-dev
the -dev part is essential here and, because no other debian packages depend on both of these, it's hard for me to believe they are, in fact, already installed.
If they are, in fact, installed... running that command will cause no harm.

@skidoo their are installed:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install libmad0-dev && apt-get install libmp3splt-dev
Leyendo lista de paquetes... Hecho
Creando árbol de dependencias
Leyendo la información de estado... Hecho
libmad0-dev ya está en su versión más reciente.
fijado libmad0-dev como instalado manualmente.
0 actualizados, 0 nuevos se instalarán, 0 para eliminar y 6 no actualizados.

Sorry for the typo:

-Gstreamer

Have you tried using a different music player?
I've found multiple"clementine + ape + cue" bug reports. clementine devs blame gstreamer-ffmpeg...

sounds just like the gstreamer plugin error you mentioned.

Yes skidoo, you are right. Thanks!!

Just installed Audacious and now I can listen ape+cue files.

For split ape+cue files maybe mp3splt has a similar bug.

I was reading about"flacon" but is not available for debian 8:

Any advice?

To quickly find out whether the version packaged for"debian 7" may still work on your system, visit

or

and download the .deb file, then"open with" gdebi ~~ it will advise you"all dependencies are met" (or not).
If they are, you can use gdebi to install. After installing this way, you might need to manually run"update menus".

The presence of ttaenc listed on the opensuse -hosted download page for flacon suggests that ttaenc must be installed first (b/c flacon depends on it?)

@sikidoo

I could install flacon, first I had to install ttaenc and mac, but I got the same problem for split the files. I uninstalled the 3 files.

I have a partition with PCLinuxOS, Flacon was on his repos and I can split the cue files now.

Sorry I got the solution abroad...
