Slaizer is actually correct fatmac, with some BIOS Linux does indeed 'mix' the boot disk order.

I take it for granted that the first disk in PC, (sda in a 'booted' Linux) will not be the dism MBR that Grub gets installed on from a live CD. My grub is always placed on sdb's MBR and my PC fails to boot. __{{emoticon}}__ so I have to interrupt my boot process and force the BIOS to boot fromt he second disk, then I run Grub Customiser and have that save to sda's MBR.

Every time. __{{emoticon}}__
