Hi, I am having trouble. What ever I do the installation gets to 95% and then a splash box opens up saying"can't install to final destination returning to stage 1 (or words to that effect !).
Specs for this old clunker are as follows :- Compaq Evo N400c;P3 850Mhz;512 Mb RAM;40 Gb Hdd. I am trying to install the latest M12 pre-final edition.
I have tried letting AntiX use the whole hard drive, partioning the disk myself using both AntiX and Puppy Linux as a"live" cd and using both ext3 and ext4 filesystems. It still only gets to 95%.
Can any one help me please?

Do you have a swap partition? If not create one before starting the installer.
Alternatively use the cli-installer.

To follow up on what Anti mentioned. Did you md5sum check the downloaded iso and burn at slow speed on good quality cd disk also.
I've Antix running on a couple of 512MB ram Laptops and run a 1gig /swap partition on them also

Yes I have a 1Gb swap and the md5 checked out. I will try antis' suggestion of trying the cli installer and will post back, probably tomorrow 6th June around 1900 GMT. Thanks for your help thus far.
