Hi all,
I'm an IT Pro newbie to Linux. We have an old Dell Inspiron 4000 laptop (Pentium III, 256MB RAM, 10GB hard disk, 3Com ethernet PCMCIA card) with antiX-M8.5. I want to install FreeNX Server in order to connect to the desktop from Windows machines, but had no idea. Can use the .deb package? Any clues?.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

Hello kallistoi:
I found some instructions from the debian site
========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://www.debianhelp.co.uk/freenx.htm"
linktext was:"http://www.debianhelp.co.uk/freenx.htm"
====================================
It looks like it should work. Good luck!

I used NoMashine with the help of this docus:

and -with a bit of luck and a bit of google - i could get it running.
On another (non-debian-based) OS i used FreeNX.
You should be able to find some threads at the ubuntu-forum (for example with google).
So, to sum it up: Yes, as far i know you can use the deb-packages.
