This is the reason in a nutshell and is out of our hands and control for now.

Hello everyone,

Our entire network was taken down for an unscheduled maintenance. At this time, most servers are up and have had a repair. Some repairs are still running, however.

What to expect:

- Some boards will still be down while the databases are being repaired.
- Most boards are up but may experience intermittent whitewalls, slowness, and especially lags. These lags can be rather big (e.g. you may see the forums go far back in time).

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this is causing, and will update again as soon as we have more news. Unfortunately, we were not able to post here earlier due to the support forum being down as well.

Thank you.

Looks Like a site reset was done this morning. A lot of settings in my profile had changed.
Also received activation request emails that had been sitting for 2 days.

I apologize for any aggravation experienced by any members here.
I try my best but sometimes my best falls short.

So thank you for being patient with me and US as we limp through these site snafus lately.
Happy trails, Rok

Update 8:50 PM October 15

All forums should be back on line but there is still slowness expected at this time. You may also still experience some errors while posting. They don't need to be reported (yet) as our technical staff can scan for them and find them on their own.

Update 12:30 PM October 15

One server is still confirmed down for repairs. All other servers are up. We are looking into the slowness issues. If your forum is up but slow, please feel free to leave a link in this thread. If your forum is up and working fine, please let us know also.

Thanks!

Update at 10:25 PM Eastern time:
One server is off line for repair, some servers are still overloaded, and other servers are up. Everything is progressing as well as can be expected. Many boards should see improvements at this time while others will still be struggling until the repairs are finished.
Please know that our team continues with the best possible efforts to get everyone back on line.

Some servers at freeforums are overloaded at the moment. This means that you will encounter white pages, alternating with extremely slow loading pages.

The databases themselves are almost repaired.

Though I hadn't personally had any problems, (had been off the forum for a little while), thankyou 'webteam' for getting it sorted, your efforts are appreciated.

At about 4 AM CDT 10-21-2015 the forum was down. Now at 9"15 AM it is back up. Frustrating as all get out, like a vacuum leak from a warped flange.

Hopefully it stays for a while.

Give it more COFFEE'. That'll keep it up.
