Foggy Day is a departure for me because of the utilization of lighter colors. I discovered using a black & white wallpaper presents a lot of challenges in finding the right shades for the text colors to aid in visibility. I wanted something quiet and understated but with a few splashes of color here and there to delight the eye. I'm still not sure about the solid orange in the conky graphs...might try changing that a little to ease off the orange even more. Anyway....another good learning experience.

Other Vermaden styles inspired my style choices including"solaris" and"aquabox". Those excellent styles work with this wallpaper and others but will not look right"out of the box" with antiX. A quick change of the text parameters in the style config fixes that, however. You can go to box-look.org to download those styles.

Look promising from your post; however, I got an image does not exist error. Could you upload your image again please? Thanks.

I assume you are talking about the screenshot? I just tried it and was able to view it just fine. It is a larger png file. I will upload a much smaller jpg image (with a little distortion).

Here is the jpg image.

Edit: I just read in other posts that some are having trouble viewing images in the posts. I have had no trouble. If you are unable to see the screenshot in this post, go to the download link listed in the first post in this thread. You can check out a screenshot there.

Very nice impuwat.

I find simple black and white screenshots very elegant. I think I might have go that way in the next antiX. Black, white and grey.

Thank you for the compliments. I enjoy the black & white very much myself but as I said it is a challenge. The custom fluxbox style I created took more tweaking than normal. It's still not perfect...there are some areas in the wallpaper where some text in terminal isn't as clear as I would like. I don't just want it to be pretty....it needs to be user friendly.

One thing I struggled with was the color of the focused window label. I liked the unfocused gray window as soon as I finished it but went back & forth with the white focused label . Thought about making it a darker gray. I may still change that.

I have another black & white wallpaper I've been playing with but it's an even bigger challenge. If I get it where I think it's acceptable I will post it as well.

The master of fluxbox is back! Keep it up, up.
