Does anyone here know a way to pass parameters from the fluxbox menu, to run an app (xPdf for example) and make it automatically open a file (pdf file in this example)? I've looked on the fluxbox wiki but there doesn't seem to be anything there about doing this kind of thing. I've also tried several different things extrapolated from other things (xterm, pcmanfm etc) but that does nothing at all! __{{emoticon}}__

I have a xpdf entry for a particular file I use. Is this what you mean.
Code: Select all
[exec] (qlock) {xpdf /home/dave/Qlok_RevA.pdf}

DoH!!! What an idiot i am! __{{emoticon}}__
Thanks dolphin_oracle. I tried that first off (using epdfviewer) and for some reason (probably a typo on my part) it didn't work. So i thought there must be some strange arcane parameters (%,+,-... etc) that needed passing to the app! I should have realised that it was an error on my part..... LOL!!
Many thanks once again.

no worries. Flux menu typos happen to me all the time, especially the brackets.
