but it doesnt have a majority on the flemish side? how is that even democratically possible?
i don't really have faith in this government (i'm flemish but i don't want to split up the country) i just can't understand how a government without a majority in the biggest and economically most important region can last. and Di rupo has now held a speach the the flemish people saying that he will try to get better at dutch, that sounds great but he also said that about 2 years ago when the negotiatons started...
let's just see what the future holds...

edit: if anyone's wondering why flanders has nationalist parties and so on, it's because in the past, the walloons looked down upon the flemish because they spoke french and so on. flanders back then was really poor and didn't got much federal support. it won some indenpendence by demonstrations like these:

they are not really objectif but they were the best i could find :p
they sometimes show parts of the demonstrations, one of them also sho how the soldiers who fought at the front in the war were almost all flemish and the officers french. the flemish soldiers mostly couldn't understand what there officers were saying...

A Belgian government! Not every day you see one of those.

Has it been democratically elected or has it gone down the Greek and Italian route of imposition by the elite?

well, the biggest party of all belgium that was elected in flanders (even bigger than the biggest walloon one) isn't in the government, and there is no majority in flanders (60% of the country and the most important economic part)...
let's just say that there had to be some shady stuff i'd think...
