After days of trying different distros to get my wireless PCI card working (HWP54G), finally found simplyMepis that makes it TOO easy...
Only problem is on my old desktop PIII 800Mhz, it is little slow so I am going to try antiX!!, I am hopeful this brother of simplyMepis will work.
thanks for all those smart programmers.

Welcome to antiX.
Hope your wireless PCI card gets working. If it doesn't, post and we'll try to help out.

I stalled it on my PIII, 800MHz machine, works excellent and installed PCI wireless was automatically recognized. It is snappy, thanks for this distro.

I am having difficulty in that the computer loses the setup of the card, so when I rebooted several days later, no internet connection.anticapitalista wrote:yes, enjoy antiX. There is a lot to explore.

If you are using WICD, there is an option to connect automatically. Look for it in the connect menu that pops up.
