Hi,
I finally got me a second monitor (Asus VW161D). The problem is that it stays in Standby-mode. But from the beginning:
My computer: Zotac Atom330 + ION. First Monitor (also VW161D) connected via VGA, second on the DVI port via adapter. Adapter is OK, tested three different ones.
Configured Twinview with nvidia-settngs. The tool even reports the second monitor correctly (Resolutions, Frequencies). As soon as I try to apply the settings, the desktop is stretched to the correct (double) width, though only the first monitor is active.
The second monitor stays in stand-by mode all the time, during boot process, mode setting etc.
I tried also configuring manually the xorg with twinview, and even tried plain Dualview, no difference.
Xorg.log reports no errors and also states the detected second monitor.
Both monitors are fine (working on the VGA port). Though running a single screen only via DVI port doesn't work.
In my desperation i checked the BIOS for some strange possibility dualview needs to be activated, but as expected nothing.
Anybody any ideas? Thanks ahead.

PS: latest nvidia driver via sgfxi
PSS: tested already alot of nvidia driver options (noDDC etc)

Thanks for the links. Played a little with xrandr, but nothing helped. Still only standby on second screen.
