I am trying to install nautilus-dropbox but am unable to do so. I tried through synaptic with no success. This is where is stops and will go no further:
Setting up nautilus-dropbox (1.4.0-3) ...

Wasn't sure how to get out of synaptic so I used xkill.
I restarted synaptic and was presented with:
You will have to run"dpkg --configure -a" to fix
In terminal I run:
root@antiX1-desktop:/home/k3vz# dpkg --configure -a

Installation will not move past this point.
I'm having the same problem on my debian machine. Is this a bug in dropbox?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

If a package is installed,"Dropbox" is added to a menu.
(Among using the"Internet" by the Debian menu)
If the menu has it, please start.
You will have to add"dropbox start" to startup file to start automatically in antiX.
(It does not start by the setting of Dropbox automatically depending on Window Manager)

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. __{{emoticon}}__

you can also download the deb directly from dropbox and install with dkpg.
the dropbox package downloads the dropbox daemon during installation. The deb is just an installer really.

I met with the same problem in MX-14.2.
It was able to be settled by a method to install .deb package from the site of Dropbox.
A problem seems to produce this by CLI installation.
Dropbox just updated a version to 2.8.4 recently.
A problem might occur by this update.

I suspect download locations for the dropbox daemon have changed, and the updates haven't made it to the debian-stable repo yet.

lfever, how did you @remove@ these pkgs_. I encountered the very same problem and now I cannot access Synaptic. I have antiX 13.2 Luddite.
I am very happy with this stable version and have only run into this problem when trying to install Dropbox.
Thank you in advance.

Sorry it took so long to reply. You probably already have this solved by now. Best as I can remember, as root I went into var/lib/dpkg/updates and deleted the files. I have started to keep a note book with all of my little solutions and tweaks however that came about after the dropbox issue. __{{emoticon}}__santotomas wrote:lfever wrote:Removed pkgs from var/lib/dpkg/updates now I am able to access synaptic again.
