topic title: Do I need to update Kernel?

I just installed Anti-X today it comes with kernel 2.6.22-1-mepis-smp, Is that ok to keep or does it need to be upgraded? If this is a dumb question excuse I an fairly new to Linux.

If you are happy with it, then there is no need to upgrade the kernel.
