While I'm composing a forum post, my wifi data on the root window simply disappears. The connection was dropped. Launch Wicd, click the connect button, it works again.
This is a desktop PCI card, in a desktop system. I'm not activating a button or software. Keyboard is also coming and going, but the numlock key never extinguishes, so it isn't power related. The keyboard and wifi dropouts are not concurrent: wifi drops while I'm typing, keyboard drops but my mouse can still scroll the screen.
What can I offer by way of information? I'd like this to stop happening.
