I'm looking to put my own customised antiX distro CD (or USB pen) together so I'm very interested in this customise script but can't find any info on the web page /FAQ/ docs.
Can I easily customise the desktop setup (such as dm, wm, choice of desktop) and its shortcuts/ menus?
Can I easily add debs or (newer) packages that aren't in the official repos?
What about prop. ATI and Nvidia drivers and their possibility of easy inclusion?
Thanks!
Dan

I believe the answer to all your questions is yes. This might help explain how.

Hi eriefisher!
Thanks for that link!
Have you tried this script? What are the differences, if any, between that MEPIS remaster script and the Antix one?
Would I be able to remaster and create a Antix/MEPIS (does this script work with Debian and Ubuntu too?) distro with BOTH the proprietary ATI AND Nvidia drivers ala elive without any complex scripting on my behalf? Anyone tried doing this already? I would be pleasantly surprised if I could pull that off easily!

Hi danboid.
There is no difference between the script in antiX and the one from the Mepis site, except that the Mepis site one may/probably has been updated.
I have used this script to re-build antiX and Mepis. (and sidux, though the script needs editing)
I know you can install the drivers in a remaster and it should work. If it doesn't you should keep the deb files for the drivers somewhere and install them once you have installed your remastered antiX on hard-drive by dpkg -i drivername.deb
Give it a try and let us know how it went. If you need further help, just post.

What sort of edits are required to get the script to work with sidux? Anything major?anticapitalista wrote: I have used this script to re-build antiX and Mepis. (and sidux, though the script needs editing)
