Hi People, still finding my way around and setting up..
So I am wondering how to get the Cups-server to start at login.
At the moment I am using 'cupsd -l', but I think it should kick off on it's own.
I always have issues with settinig up my KodaK. Debian install worked OK for the driver.
It just seems to be the server that's not happy. Maybe it's to do with PAM.
Control center - 'Choose Startup Services' is not persistant on this one.
On the other hand I may be doing something wrong here. Anyway.
Any ideas?

If you haven't done so, try removing the antiX=MLX boot option in /boot/grub/menu.lst or the isolinux equivalent

Well, that worked! Like a dream!
So what does 'antiX=MLX' do, something to do with RAM storage?
Is it OK to make it default and why does it effect the Cups server?
No don't answer that, it worked.
Many thanks

antiX=MLX is a series of boot cheats to speed up booting and lower RAM usage.
Basically it prevents various services from starting, one of which is cups (since *most* users do not use this when running live).
