Is it possible to get whatever information you want using conky?
To view all the parameters, in a terminal type:
leafpad .conkyrc (to open the file with an editor) or,
vim .conkyrc
and then modify the file to show whatever information you want.

Conky is already running in Antix and there are many diferent configuration possibilities.
I hope this helps, I am not familiar with the program you mentioned.

antiX comes with hardinfo that has some simple CPU benchmarks.

Sorry it seems like I did not explain clearly what I am looking for __{{emoticon}}__
I need a utility that can control both the voltage and frequency of the cpu. The reason I see 10+ Celsius difference, is because antiX only some what controls frequency and uses the default cpu voltage. More volts more heat. Hope this makes it a little clearer.

The link points to the latest news/version 2.35 released Feb 29 2008. I doubt it's accurately doing what's claimed seeing it's age.

You are correct about the date, but like DSL it works perfectly on older hardware. Both appear sadly, to have been abandoned by their creators __{{emoticon}}__

Key statement:
The first thing you need is a CPU that is compatible with the linux-phc module. Check here to see if your AMD CPU is supported, and check here to see if your Intel CPU is supported. If your processor model/family isn’t listed, it’s possible that it will still work, assuming it’s a newer processor than those listed, but you’ll have to search the phc-forums or ask on #phc-linux (see “Getting Help” below).
Which means you need to make sure your cpu is supported first.

2nd Key Statement:
Assuming you have a supported processor, the next step is to download the appropriate package for an “out-of-tree” build. Check which kernel you are running by typing “uname -a” in the terminal, and then download the appropriate corresponding package from here
mepis 2.6.32-1 smp is not a stock debian kernel. It is a custom rolled Kernel from Warren who built Mepis. liquorix Kernels (I think but better knowledgeable forum mambers may enlighten you better) are not stock Debian Kernels either. SEE bELOW
Bit of a side note on custom kernels, if you are building your own you’ll need to make sure that acip-cpufreq is built as a module. See the installation structions on the linux-phc forums for more information on how to configure the kernel properly. A standard Debian kernel is already configured correctly for linux-phc to work
If you can jump through above hoops and have build-essentials installed.
You should be OK to install and run it. Wait for other forum members to reply.
I could be way off base as this is too rich for my blood.
